As of right now,
I'm also in the "Vargas by decision" camp.
Truth be told, I really can't stand Vargas or his second-rate theatrics. However, he has Heart (get it, with a capital "H"), he doesn't quit, and he gets more and more aggressive as his face gets more and more puffy.
I believe he will be there to win, and will do so if the fight goes to a decision.

LPS,

IMHO Vargas is as close to a lock as is possible against an undefeated champion. I know I'm in the minority, but I really believe that Trinidad is overrated. DLH gave him a boxing lesson until he took the last 3 rounds off. Vargas is fast, strong, intense and undefeated as well. He has a fire in his belly that I haven't seen in Trinidad for years. Tito is ripe to be beaten. He will underestimate Vargas and pay the price. Vargas will win with surprising ease in either a unanimous decision or a stoppage in round 10 or 11. BTW, for those inclined to agree with my assessment and are also inclined to wager upon the outcome, Vargas will probably be at least an 8:5 underdog - OH BABY!
Regards to all on the thread.
