Hi Gary, Excellent recap of events that HAVE MADE A SOFT LANDING A REALITY. If the fed pumped liquidity for y2k and it was a non event,I wonder if the election was viewed as a non event and may well result in Mr Greenspan doing the liquidity act. Last week at my dealer 20 group meeting every dealer except one (out of 21) had ytd negative sales relative to 99 sales. This was very unsettling as most were up marginally thru July.The time lag effect of the rate increases is having a direct impact now. Bob
