1. There is talk of direct Democrat involvement to aid the counties or do it for the counties if they fail to contest the deadline.

2. True, but see #3

3. The Dems have lost this one if the truth gets out. Bush liked manual vs. machine for "black-mark" optical ballots which 240 counties have in Texas. The law also spelled out clearly the rules for counting hanging chad on the punch ballots for the remaining 14 counties. They are making up the chad rules in FL as we write!

4. The rules for "recounts" vary widely from state to state. For example, you can't even begin a recount in IA, NM, and I think WI until after the elections have been certified which they haven't and won't be for several more days. What is going on in FL might be better termed a re-talley in some states. There is a lot of loose use of the word recount here <g>.
