Some of us here have been taking about rising recession risks for weeks now. IMHO the odds are better than 50/50 at this point.

A market meltdown will produce a "reverse wealth effect" and chill consumer confidence and their spending which will be enough without even factoring in an unwinding of the massive derivative and credit excess which pervade the entire financial system.

BigBull, Recession must be the R-word you were too sensitive to mention. An inverted yield curve is supposed
to be the precursor. It's inverted now stockcharts.com
Hasn't looked like this since 1994 [that's how far back the chart goes].

Is it inevitable, a % chance, nonsense?
