OT. You said " someone who supports a candidate who is "pro life", I find it very contradictory that you wouldn't give up your firearms if you knew there would be less murders in this country."
In your SI personal profile next to degrees you have.
Degree " Philosophy, Which Rules The World."
Seeing this in your profile it is understandable why you would come out with the above statement.
Think for yourself if you still can. I own guns and I have no intentions of murdering anyone. Criminals or crazed persons use guns to kill people. Also the armies of the world use guns and other means to kill people.
Your statement presumes that all gun owners are murderers.
Do you really feel comfortable with the thought that a clinton a gore or a Bush could be in complete control of all citizens through the use of force ( the army-police-secrete services, etc ) and the only means you have to fight back against guns, cruise missiles, tanks etc.is throwing stones. Sound familiar.
Honest citizens are not criminals there is no need for them to give up their firearms.
I sure hope that the people who read this thread and do not have the option to put you on ignore will not be swayed by your thinking but then again sensible persons do not think as you do. Wake up while there is still time.

<<What I am hearing instead on this thread is nothing is perfect and that Bush should become President. >>

You don't hear it from me((but I do hear the opposite from you) once the counting began I moved into the group which want an accurate fair accounting - nothing creative - for either side.
