<Misalign a punch card or have a confusing ballot like that of PB and it can be very hard to figure out such a ballot. OTOH, in Mass. they missed 30,000 votes and must add them to the count. The good news is they are from election ballot booths...those huge machines that work like odometers. There is no need to figure out what people REALLY meant. Which is why I sincerely hope there is a ballot reform measure nationwide that tosses out these $%#&@!! punch cards...antiquated, and clearly very problematic technology. >

Agreed. Until then, the voter bears responsibility for making sure their ballot reflects their vote.
