Agreed... reversions to the mean can be mean. My LTB&H friends are rather depressed... (Told her to take some SUNW off the table. At least she didn't go on margin to fund her latest project!)

The election distraction seems to have a twofold effect - accelerating the downturn even while, as you say, cloaking it from view.

Frankly, didn't expect things to unravel quite to this extent, considered it maybe a 1 in 3 at most. Of course, where would you have put the odds that we'd have no President by today? The rightwing pollsters and pundits were confidently predicting a Bush blowout!

When I went to cash last week, I figured it'd be for a few days. Didn't think I'd be sitting here with irrelevant buy stops 15% above the action, looking to scalp reversals. Still think it could turn on a dime, or, maybe, at this rate, it'll have to be a nickel... Oh well, maybe tomorrow, maybe January... Someday, my bounce will come... Alan, can you hear me? Alan, can you hear me?... Once I had a tech stock, it was high, brother, can you spare a dime (or even a nickel)?
