This is wrong:

I just saw the statistics and it is 90% of blacks for Gore nationally and 93% in Florida. It is still an amazing statistic, and it is troubling (to me at least) that so many black people do not trust republicans. Is it because democrats are for programs that specifically favor blacks (like affirmative action and hate crimes bills)? I am speculating here, and am not trying to stir up a big racial thing.

My view is that all Americans should be treated equally, and more importantly are capable of achieving the same level of success as any other group in the population. I believe that is GWB's view as well.

What issues am I missing that lead to such an overwhelming alliance of blacks against republicans?
