Save your pity for Al Gore. And yes, now that you mention it, it does look like he is getting brutalized by Bush. The media couldn't save him, the get out the vote routines couldn't save him, and the lawyers won't be able to save him either. He is going down down down in a ring of fire. As for our neighbors, Cubans are by and large Republican, having first hand knowledge of how a leftist regime functions. But your rants are not against Republicans. They are in general just plain Anti-American. As for whole cloth stories, I can't confirm this actually happened, but your rebuttal is the same found on many newsgroups where the story was first brought to my attention many months ago. Surely you have heard of it by now?
