Hi Gottfried. Some of us lurkers will still be around too.
It's a benefit to lurking -- no need for someone to go out of their way to ignore us!

Cheers to you for your good humor on yet another bad market day (although AMAT's holding up for a change!).

Don't forget Mr. Congeniality :)

And forgive me Father Gottfried, but are the SEMs actually...rallying (KLAC, TER, KLIC, NVLS)?

Knock on silicon.

OT - Still here, too. Wading through the stuff. Most folks here know my point-of-view, so I don't much need to repeat it like a shrill Ginsu commercial.

I cannot directly - or even indirectly - affect events in Florida (or other states in question). However, I've walked through some of the scenarios (Electoral College with/without Florida; House of Reps picks Pres, Senate picks VP; etc.)

If Gore cannot generate an outright win in Florida OR remove it from Electoral consideration, Bush wins. If the choice goes to the (newly elected) House in January, Bush wins. Gore has his Chicago-trained expert in vote fraud and butterfly ballots working in Florida as we write.

If the election goes to Congress, Lieberman is potentially VP for Bush, depending on the (still unknown) outcome of the Senate race in WA.

Of the two, I think Bush's conciliatory governing style is more suited to the current situation than Gore's divisive one.

- Mitch

RE: Gee Cary, at this rate it will soon be only you and me here. And I'm not sure about you. :)

Reminds me of the great B.B. King lyric: 'No one loves
me but my momma... and she might be jivin' too.'

RO

Ps G: you succinct explanation of major aspect of TA
support (i.e., there was support for price last time
so perhaps support will be there again) while not containing
one reference to double reverse doji stars, was nonetheless
exceptionally explanatory. There's some real sense to that.
