Re: "After reaching $93 (+/-) in Q2 2000, their ASPs DROPPED to $90 3/8 in Q3 2000 - and their recent Analyst Web Cast indicated that AMD management was predicting FLAT APSs throughout 2001 - at $90"

And with their Fabs maxed out, where can they go from here?

Paul,

<AMD seems tho have hit a ceiling with their ASPs.>

I agree with you. Things will only get tougher for AMD as Intel starts to ramp P4. Someone used the term "flood" the market; I tend to agree. AMD will give up the high-end retail/consumer desktop to Intel by mid year 2001, if not sooner. They are running out of market segments to challenge Intel on. I thought the Duron would give the Celeron a challenge, but judging by today's new Celeron announcement, I don't think so.

Paul,

AMD management was predicting FLAT APSs throughout 2001 - at $90.

With greatly increasing capacity coming on line at AMD, this is not good news for anyone.
