PIII will contribute to lion share of Intel revenues and profits until Q3 2001. So, I am not sure why Intel would want to create a downward pressure on those ASPs - especially since Palominio slipped by a quarter.

Given the RMBS baggage and potential capacity issues, it is not likely that Intel can ship too many P4s in Q1/Q2 even if it wants to. Q3/Q4 is a different ball game though.

Anything is possible but I doubt if the odds of seeing 2G in Q1 are significant.
