This is Merline asking Red Jinn to join him on the Nerdy Ticket in 4 years.

Looks like the continuation of a trend from this just concluded election, ie, the VP candidates are more attractive to the electorate than are the Presidential candidates.

a favorite writer of mine, albert j. nock, was voting back in the 1930's i think (i don't think it was a presidential race, but it could have been) after viewing the process of selecting the candidates. the process so disgusted him that he wrote in jefferson davis on the ballot, on the theory that a "first class corpse" was preferable to the choices offered the voters. i guess he would have been quite happy in missouri. (anecdotally, i heard one voter voted for mel carnahan on the "n.o.t.a." theory, but, of course, it doesn't really work that way... yet.)
