Well done.

For those of you that would like to register objection with interference in the counting of votes in Florida you could try here:

mishedlo,

Afraid I wasn't as nimble as you. I had to be off most of the afternoon and could not 'watch' it carefully. I still have the same ssti I picked up @16.75. I got too greedy on the ask and wanted a lot at 16 1/16, and it never got there.

Also got too cute with KEM and bid for 22 1/16 which did not fill either. Perhaps it will come back down again tomorrow.

I would have got more, but the steepness of the fall this morning of 'everything' caused me to make unreasonably low bids. The rest of the bids were not even close. Had I been watching, I would have moved some of the bids up.

OT : As long as there is no fighting in the streets, I suppose both the Gore and Bush camps should start to go after other states that had 'close' votes and ask for hand counting everywhere to drag out the experience for a few more weeks or months. All this uncertainty will probably create more bargains. Maybe this time I won't chicken so easily, the naz is @2996, below that psychologically important 3000. I suppose some people will look at that and chicken out again. Next time, I'll be more adventurous (but then, I always say that (vbg)).

After the first hand-counting, there should be a 2nd and 3rd hand-recount by different people to ensure that the results are not influenced unduly by the wrong people doing the hand-counting. What if the people with the wrong hands were doing the counting? What if the most of the counters had two left hands or two right hands?

If this process drags on beyond (say)June 2001, does this mean Clinton has to stay on as president until the courts determine who won the election? (vbeg)
