i was only suggesting that this election serves to make the point that voting counts.

however, from what i understand, as a percentage of registered voters, there are usually more republicans voting than democrats. thus, this election sd encourage democrats that voting matters and get more of them to vote next time. if the same percentage of democrats voted as republicans, democrats wd run the country hands down.
