Such an ugly close. Made money in 2 accts, but late buys knocked the 3rd for a loss. I think we are stuck in a trading range this week. Down 170.... rose 207 pts to +34..... slide 96 pts to -63 (2966) Hope we hold this range: 2860-3060 If not, and we break to the downside, we are looking at 2720, or 2000 If we break 2850 this week, Uncle Algae did not engineer a soft landing; he gave us a recession. That's the guy with the mkt power not Bush or Gore...

so what do we go from here, up, down or sideways Rally Wednesday, put/call very high 0.92, election vote counting is fading as market tires of it, bio bubble finally got a pop due to Barrons, Storage is still deflating. Add low inflation, low unemployment, and low interest rates. Need BEAS, NTAP, or SCMR to beat earnings and it will go upward and we'll have legs Baldy. The news out of Comdex is that wireless networks is the next big thing. This was some of the wireless strength in a red market. Cell-phone companies are expected in force at Comdex, with giants such as Ericsson,Motorola, and Nokia showcasing their latest mobile phone handsets with Web browsers and personal information manager functions. nwfusion.com The last positive was that HWP despite a god awful earnings report only went down 12%. The market is has sold off for five or six days on most techs. So much cash on the side and buying will occur. Jack
