Ben,

What do we do with specific voters who are incapable of understanding the issues and their own best interests? (mildly mentally ill, serious drug abusers, senile people, some prisoners, etc...)

Do we want one party encouraging them to vote for that party?

I don't think it's such a bad thing if they don't show up.

I believe they get representation from the more moderate masses that understand and are well aware of their needs, desires, etc... Those people vote in a way that expresses the fact that some people are left out out of the process.

Do we really want hate groups, violent extremists, etc... to vote?

Theoretically, they deserve an equal voice, but personally I'd rather they stayed in their bunkers on election day.

Wayne

to all, after looking at the amazon ballot, i thing palm county's ballot was a bit confusing. sure, the arrow pointed to the right box, but the line above the candidate pointed directly to the wrong box. if you focus on the line instead of the arrow...

having said that, EVERY ballot technique has errors. the question is not if, but how many.

i still maintain that IF hand counting is approved that one must count the whole state and not just democratic strongholds. since florida law allows hand counting, it seems to me the only fair way to resolve this and move on w/o 4 years of bickering beyond belief is to hand count the entire state w/ party representatives watching every counter.

the time limit should not be tuesday at 5:00 PM.

i still believe that the democrats will get enough votes by tuesday at 5:00 PM to take this election. they only need to put about 1,000 votes in their column over and above bush's column to win this gig.

sure, they want 20k or so votes to pad their attempt to steal the election... but they shouldn't get it...

this should show, once and for all, the petty, self serving nature of BOTH parties. nobody wants TRUTH, they want personal benefit.

of course, since this is the reasonable course of action, nobody will propose from either camp and it probably will not happen - unless forced by a reasonable and impartial court.

No, I don't believe it's quality if it conforms to my views. I believe it's quality if quality thought went into it.

And, yes, I could easily end up disenfranchised under this standard, and if I live long enough probably will be. So be it.
