Mishedlo,

Dave - you seem to be the one of those whose side is always right.

I don't have a side -- I'm in the middle <G>. I'm zealous about the right and need to hear both sides (though you can judge which is "correct" and credible once you listen, at least), coupled with the need for honesty. I'm zealous about not changing the rules of the game in the middle of the game (I have to keep explaining that one to my 5 year old son). If you don't like the rules, change them for the next game. Applied to the current circumstances, I think the Demos have a right to recount the votes until the 5PM deadline tomorrow, as per the current law, under the scrutiny and rules provided for by the Florida recount laws. I do not think the Reps should have filed suit to stop the hand counting. I do not think the Demos should have filed a lawsuit to extend the deadline. I do not think there should be a re-vote. I don't think you can count non-punched or double-punched ballots. Everyone knew the rules going into the game. You can't change them now just because your side is winning or losing. Our republic will survive and you can change them for the next election.

So, I guess save me from my own zealotry of having a fair and open election that abides by the rules and laws as previously set forth by the state of Florida. <G>

And may the man with the most votes win (as of Friday, that is).

Dave
