I think this is what a real bear market looks like. In '73 and '74 it was 22 months of slow steady, grinding death. We had just come off of the nifty fifty run when stocks like Avon products, Polaroid and Xerox has 50 to 80 PEs. Buying the dips has worked up until the last few months. Now every rally fails. At some point a new bull will emerge with possibly new leaders or maybe old leaders will re-asert themselves (QCOM ?).
