but the Republicans did not inform them about the ballots until it was too late. Are you claiming that the Bush campaign was given certain information before the Gore campaign? Or is it that an incompetent local official happened to be Republican?

Scrumbria, Wow, no kidding. I should be watching this thing more closely. (I just can't bear anymore). So, you mean were talking about the possibility of painstakingly hand counting four Democratic counties through Friday, even debating for extensions, and yet, it's too late for 26,000 votes in Republican Duval County?! Regardless of one's party affiliation, this doesn't really seem to be about ensuring that everybody's vote is counted---to the extent possible. Ken
