I believe any thing can happen when there is uncertainty, especially at high levels of government. I've heard there is a great deal of money in the US stock market from abroad. The people who live in countries that are use to dictators and military take overs may be terrified at what is going on here. I am not worried about the stability of the US government. We will get through this, but it may be hard for others who live in other parts of the world to believe it. Also, I imagine many investors could be scared, especially, if they have not been through a serious correction b4. The US will survive and so will the US stock markets!!!! Mephisto
