Patent search for "Airfiber" resulted a "Multipoint-to-point wireless system using directional antennas
" patent granted to Lucent.
Airfiber is partnered with Nortel NT.
Terabeam is partnered with Lucent LU.
airfiber reference in the patent is
"The millimeter wave ASK radio link with directional antennas (referred to as "Airfiber") may be used for wireless PONs or other applications where radio instead of fiber is to be utilized, such as wireless LANs and point-to-point or point-to-multipoint links. Some sort of hybrid RF, microwave, and optical patenet granted to Lucent.

Doesn't look like AirFiber has a patent of their OptiMesh Multipoint Architecture.
