Interesting that there are so many more this time. Possibly in '96 500,000 mailed out and 396,000 actually voted. Folks on both sides certainly seemed more motivated this time around.

Absentee voting in CA has been made rather esy. With the voter pamphlet is included a request for an absentee ballot. All you do is fill it out, mail it back, fill in the ballot when it arrives and mail that back.

I haven't actually entered a polling place in 10 years.
