The German central bank used to have a great record in making big purchases at the bottom of the DM and big sales at the top... I think they actually made quite a bit of money over the years intervening. I would tend to knock the ECB [as they deserve it anyway no doubt], but I'll tell you this is SOME massive top in the dollar... so I wouldn't be surprised if even the mighty Bundesbank would have been pissing into the wind the past year.

commercials are still short the Euro...none of the other European currencies though. which is puzzling, as they tend to move together.
