Hello Fred,

Ok ... so we continue the dance ...

> Threats & The Final Straw....

Oh no ... no threats ... just statement of facts.

> There's nothing sinister about you or Novell. Your
> perspective is biased. You are "inside" Novell. How could
> you say otherwise.

Yeah ... and you are "outside", and from Chicago, and a middle-aged guy struggling to find a place in life. How silly of me ... how could you behave in any other way?

If you truly believe in stereotypes, then I feel even worse for you. To limit your views of others by placing them into neat little boxes ... it's really too bad. I'm sure that this is how you destroy a lot of relationships in your life.

> I am simply reflecting a different paradigm. And I have
> every right to express how I feel.

Yep ... I guess so. And then so do I. And I have to say that reading these posts is truly pitiful ...

> I'm not insulting you. I'm making a comment about those
> you work with. If you take this personally, may I suggest
> that you are projecting anger that's misplaced.

Screw you. If I tell you that I am insulted by your comments then I am. And if you want to talk about misplaced anger, why don't you own the screwed up life that you are creating, instead of blaming it on people like Stewart Nelson. Just because you can't seem to pull off a big success in your life doesn't mean that you have to take everyone else down with you.

> If you perceive me to be "ruthless and brutal" may I

> projected on the wrong party. I will freely accept
> whatever anger you want to heap on me, however. I have
> nothing personal against you, Stewart Nelson or anyone

> technology. I have a problem with Novell's leadership.

I'll suggest that you have some very deep psychological problems ... that's what you have. And then you like to play the "victim" game also ... oh poor Fred. His life is screwed up because of all these other people ... not Fred ... no, it can't be caused by who Fred chooses to be ...

> Your insight, creativity, knowledge and skills are
> unquestioned in my mind. And I believe you could be a
> great leader if you believed in yourself enough to really
> want to take on this role.

Wow ... I feel so much better that Fred the all-knowing has told me this. If you make the choice to get off your crap, and come back to earth, maybe this would mean something to me. But you have reduced the value of your words to nothing with most of us ...

> I look at myself in the mirror everyday Scott. Do you know

> coaching, singing, sharing, living. I let the kids decide

So are you saying that you take this garbage that you post on SI to your kids, and other peoples kids, and teach them that this is the way to treat other people? Do you take your posts to your church and show off to the Sunday School classes how Fred Smart communicates in the business world?

Do you show them the accusations that you make? I remember being told about the "cast the first stone" story ... and what we now refer to as "people who live in glass houses" ...

Do you honestly look those children, and your own boys, in the eye and teach them to be like Fred?

I have to say that I am now disgusted if this is true ...

> Yes, perhaps I'm destroying some image of acceptibility
> and respectibility as it relates to this dialogue about
> Stewart Nelson from your point of view. I've made my
> point. Period.

Yeah ... you sure have. And your kids will be able to read your posts and learn for the rest of their lives ... they will be able to read the posts of the incredible Fred Smart ... their father. And what will they feel ... I wonder ...

> I'm not attacking you. I'm simply expressing freely my
> opinion - my gut - about Novell's weak-kneed leadership.

Yeah ... and I'm just expressing freely my opinion about weak-kneed Fred Smart.

> You have decided to come to Nelson's defense. I liken this
> to Gore telling us that President Clinton will go down in
> history as one of "the greatest Presidents" this country
> has ever had.

First, there might be some people reading this thread that *agree* with President Clinton and his contribution to the US. Are you saying that all those Democrats are wrong? My, my ... aren't we the righteous individual now ...

No ... I have made a choice to work for Novell, and to come to create things at Novell. And I have made the choice to expose you for wshat you are ... a blow-hard ...

> Now take a step back and look at the paradigm Gore is
> coming from. He's perfectly "right" to say that. And
> perhaps you are perfectly "right" to defend Nelson.

You are so caught up in your bullcrap that you don't even see it ...

> God Bless you!!

It's really too bad that you have so devalued your words, that you will even step to these levels to try and look good. You are so two-faced that it's obvious where this statement is coming from ... if you would only admit it. Quite the attempt at the manipulative moves ...

> Learn to love your enemies Scott. There's not a greater
> thing you can do for mankind than to love your enemies.

And Fred, just how are you setting the example of how to express this love? Yeah ... we all get to see it in your posts ... you don't have to provide a lame story ...

> May I suggest that we all try "letting go" of this and
> relaxing abit more. I've made my peace. Nelson isn't going
> to call Frederick Smart back. I've accepted this quite
> awhile ago.

Yeah ... you failed to accomplish that one also. Can you see that maybe *you* are at the center of that?

As for the letting go ... for now all I can say is "Screw you! Why don't you go find a life someplace where people want to listen to you?"
