It takes a bigger man than Clinton (certainly bigger than Albright) to realize that what they thought was a negotiation was in fact a rout and that US is on the losing side. If there one day there is no Israel, it will be part the Clinton legacy." Actually GWB addressed this during the debates. I didn't realize it at the times. He refered to CLintons failings by saying he was for mid-east peace on their terms and time schedule not ours. It's sad that GWB doesn't play better with the Jewish voter. GW probably missed a big opportunity... Jim

There is a tentative division of land and a framework for working together. Because something is difficult, you suggest we not try? The Israelis are not stupid; do you think they respect Clinton only because of American largesse? He has played an important role in trying to shape a peace between them and the Palestinians. There will be peace in the Middle East eventually.....it just will take longer than anyone wants. ted
