The notion that "if we enact sensible gun laws ... then down the road they're gonna take away our guns" ... is political paranoia. No one in the hierarchy of the Democratic Party has EVER suggested taking guns away from responsible hunters or sportsmen or target shooters.

I agree with much of what you say about Hollywood and the disrespect for human life. By the way, don't forget violent video games. The Paducah, Ky., school shooter developed his point and squeeze skills through violent video games. My son used to play some of those games a couple years ago. Had your choice of knives, handguns, hand grenades, bazookas, tanks, etc. depending on the room or corridor you were entering.

Re Rosie O: Why is she offensive and Charleton Heston not offensive? Both are celebrities who are using their celebrity status to promote differing points of view. I'm sure Moses has bodyguards, too, despite the fact that he got the better of the Pharaoh of Egypt.
