"The amazing thing is that the nation stands by and ignores it"

Yeah, it's an outrage and I'm calling for riots in the streets and for everyone to cheer George Anheuser Bush on to save this nation from the "evil" Dems bound on destroying the very fabric, the very heart and soul of this great nation! Nixon REALLY WON! Watergate DIDN'T MATTER! Iran/Contra REALLY didn't matter! Reagan is GOD because he REALLY did kill THE EVIL EMPIRE! We Republicans are THE CHOSEN PEOPLE! We are the FREEDOM FIGHTERS for ALL THE PEOPLE! We are MAGIC!

Or could it be that what you think and what the facts are two different things? What you wrote is the most hilarious one-sided comment on the Kennedy/Nixon election I've heard yet. Am I surprised? Of course not. This is SI, which I doubt anyone is confusing with the dreaded "liberal media". But have no fear Franz, because as a public service (no tax dollars spent), I consulted the Magic Eight Ball for you and I would like to share its reply:

"You have a future as a writer for Comedy Central or Mystery!"

By the way, what are your credentials for bringing as all up to date on the election of 1960?

I am sure this madness shall pass, people will soon forget about the sucker who lost Florida, and start to grill the supposedly winner about how his political and social agenda, be it tax cut or more federal spending, will affect the economy for the next four years.

And the market will be here forever, and soon people will get used to the higher gas price, the weak euro, the true level of demand for bandwidth, the fact that athm isn't that big a piece in the broadband value chain... (flame bait :-) )
