jill...

i started taking short put positions in rmbs in september....

why? i think it has valid technology, i believe the same holds true for qcom and atml

started with 75 contracts, 70 strike staggered...could have close them at strong profit, but decided to let them ride....the blow out to the fifties was not so good, so i rolled the closet expirations to jan02, for a 16 point credit spread, may do the same tomorrow. cost if assigned in 02 would be 43....this is a long term position which will give me a 30%+ return against capacity...

this is a high risk position, but fully backed by cash...worse case i roll to another issue, but have taken advantage of rmbs high implied volatility..(just checked, i can get a 20 point credit spread between nov and jan02)
