Why the third trimester? Why not two days before the end of the 2nd trimester? Why not in the 5th month?

My argument is based on logic, and it presupposes that the line of when the unborn have rights cannot be drawn. What is so magical about the third trimester (when premature babies delivered prior to that have a high survival rate these days)?

I do not seek to take away a woman's right, but I think that the unborn child has rights. My position is a constitutional and moral one; not religious. And just because a large part of the country is either pro choice or pro abortion, does not make it right. I think many people are swayed by the fact that they would rather not argue about it, or on the convenience factor, or on the "it's the best thing for society" position.

Thank you for your thoughts.
