greg...the fed has always been the key since it was graced with more power then was assigned to it when it was created in 1913?

better to follow fed fund rates then the constant references to the prime rate.....

fed eases market goes up....fed plays hard ball, we have a recession....over correction by the fed has historically led to recession.....fed needs to modify thinking to embrace current technology and productivity, along with global factors....we are not an isolationist smoke stack economy as the fed thinking suggests...
