Las Vegas, Nov. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Microsoft Chief Executive Steve Ballmer said personal computer sales will continue to be robust, criticizing the view put forth by some competitors that servers will replace PCs in an interview with Bloomberg News.

I feel sorry for Bill ...

he thought CDMA was a joke, almost missed the internet, is generally regarded as a mediocre programmer at best ... really nowhere near a genius. Genius ... no. Software architect ... no. Visionary ... no. Ruthless businessman ... yes. (And there's nothing wrong with that if you stay within the bounds of the law.)

He did have the foresight to hire a Stanford dropout to run his company. Steve's a good whip.

But I like Bill. He'd be fun to have a beer with.

The DOJ isn't going to hurt MSFT.

Their problems are a result of their products and size. It's hard to grow a company as big as MSFT when you already have over 90% of the desktop.

Microsoft ... what WILL we copy next?
