I would bet money that his "IQ" is higher than Bush's, but there are major screws loose there, a repellent hollowness, a lack of any detectable personal principle. If I hadn't snuck over to SI when I shouldn't have, I'd take the time to paste my Gore comments. But why, if you read this thread, do you imply I am a Gore defender or supporter? I have never said anything favorable about Gore, the hollow man, save that I'd be less afraid of his appointments to the federal judiciary. Bush said, "If I'm the president, we're going to have emergency-room care, we're going to have gag orders." There is no contradiction between having had your brain soaked in alcohol, and maybe cocaine, before you were 40, and being "spectacularly cognitively challenged." Do you see one? Dylexia I'm surprised anyone would question. It is the least distressing explanation for so many of his bizarre statements. Also, his brother Jeb is acknowledged to be dyslexic, and Barbara Bush has been involved in that cause for years. I have not, of course, seen test results. There is, btw, an article by Gail Sheehy in the October issue of Vanity Fair discussing Bush and dyslexia, among other things. Yes, I think he is obviously incapable of running the country. He doesn't read, for example, requiring every issue to be boiled down to one or two pages which he then tosses aside, saying, "What's the bottom line?" You for some reason attribute this behavior to a reaction only to "long tedious reports." I am concerned because it applies, according to aides, to all issues, some of which are of grave national and international importance, and complex. As I've said, "Under a Bush administration, our rulers will be those who have the power to answer his "What's the bottom line" question when he asks it in the way that will produce in him the emotion they want him to have and the action they want him to take, the order they want him to issue. We won't know their names."
