The body of your post belies its conclusion. You could write that future post today.

[Bush] A neatly packaged individual who hardly seemed to be out of canned speeches or his mind. Whenever he was out of it, he fumbled.

We will measure strictly GWB's performance. How about that?

I got busy, sorry to take awhile getting back to you......

The case against Gore was much larger than his propensity to lie. It involved campaign finance scandals and malfeasance in office, none proved, but all worth serious investigation. On the other hand, you had a candidate who was not always on top of things, but who handled himself pretty well in the end. The level of triviality that you descend to is indicated by mention of the video games. That is a perfectly respectable way to unwind. There are CEOs throughout the country who are adept at computer Solitaire or Battleship or even more esoteric games, because that is what they do instead of drink or yell at someone when they are stressed and need to relax. But, as you say, the proof is in the pudding. I am perfectly happy to see what happens under a Bush presidency, just as I was happy to have the debates. So, okay, we shall see........
