No, I agree that the hand count should be conducted within the scope of the law. The district is now getting conflicting rulings from the AG and DoS for the state of Florida. Since the executive has recused himself (rightly) there may be no other choice than letting the courts decide on the deadline's legality or who's the responsible party for the decision. The criterion was "were there factors that affected the vote". The answer was yes and the recount was ordered. It is ugly that the artificial time limit (which has no rational basis) is going to be in conflict with the district ruling. Is there anyone who thinks this debacle is going quietly into that good night? Not me.
