Read a news story yesterday where Daschle said if the Dem wins in Washington State and Bush becomes president, the split then is 50-50. Never has this happened before. Daschle said Senate rules prohibit Cheney from casting tie-breaking vote on committee assignments, chairmanships, rules, etc., because he is not officially a member of the Senate. Therefore, we might have co-chairmanships for all Senate committees. Very interesting.
