LoF is your typical "my way or the highway" type and I agree, it is sad that some people cannot be more open in their views or tolerance of other opinions.

Dave, you shouldn't take this personally. The machine recount was not rushed, and I think that the results are consistent and fair with the remainder of those in the US that voted using punch cards. Your only real issue is the 19,000 double votes, etc. in Palm Beach County, which are voter errors, and nothing more. I'm sorry that you and Al have trouble accepting that 19,000 people had trouble completing their ballots in that county after 15,000 had the same trouble in 1996 (when you and Al didn't seem to care). I do not think it should be up to another human being to try to determine how someone voted, when it is not already clear. I guess I am one of the smart ones that asks questions, and makes sure that there aren't any straggling chads on my ballot. LoF
