Options Expiration is actually this Friday (Sat) not next. There has been some roll-over to the Dec. 10s (1700 contracts today) but the volume of a few months ago is not in the Dec 10s yet. The 7.5 was put into play for the Nov expiration but I would say they are betting on writing the 10s and keeping NOVL under 10. The wild card here is the spin-off. Today's up move was pretty major even though there was profit taking at the close. It could be in the MM's interest to try to move NOVL up on any good news like a spin-off and thus increase their premiums before taking it back down again.
