Though it's never been done before in a Presidential election, Gore requested these handcounts, picking his best counties and claiming irregularities only there, as the law allows him to do. Bush also had the chance to pick counties looking for votes, but he did not, presumably hoping Gore would back off, IMO, or just asleep at the wheel and unaware of what Gore was up to, as Democrats claim and may in fact be the case.

No matter. IMO, As I've been saying for awhile, it SHOULD either come down to all counties or none, barring outright mechanical failure somewhere, and there has been no such case brought up.

Hi, Greg. The Gore people as was their right, requested a manual recount before the request deadline in the counties they wanted. The Bush people stupidly did not for their counties. However, that certainly does not make it any more "fair" as the Dems appear to insultingly try to convince people.

With regard to "wagging fingers", I don't believe we do that. We have our system, which most of us believe is the best in the world, but you can take us or leave us, as you wish. (Since you are a respected neighbor, we hope you take us)
