Hey man, that's not what you said or implied in your first message - you did not, until this post, distinguish between abortion for convenience sake and abortion for issues of rape, incest and life-threat to the mother.

It's an awfully expensive bit of birth control. Even at truck stop prices a box of rubbers goes for a lot less than an abortion. Instead I would guess that most abortions result from botched birth control, or from changing circumstances in relationships after conception.
