Katherine Harris, FL Sec of State said certified returns for all 67 counties show Bush won by 299 votes.

Bush received - 2,910,491 votes

Gore received - 2,910,192 votes.

3 FL counties may be contemplating a recount. Harris is requiring a written stmt form these counties establishing why they want a recount by 2 pm tomorrow.

Agreed. It's a scary mindset. As to background and personal motivations of the actors, don't forget the Clinton-appointed federal judge Middlebrooke who denied Bush's injunction request yesterday. Someone pointed out he even contributed to the Gore campaign. Anybody question his background, motivations, integrity, bias, etc?
