Gore has one asset, the South Florida voters, and the hand recount. He has to make the counts proceed, and be counted.

The two threats are the PB county request for guidance from the FL Supreme Court and the Bush Fed court appeal. If he loses these, upfront or on appeal, I don't see a fall back position (but I'm not all that smart, compared to the team he has).

If he can get the hand count to count, he should produce enough votes to carry Florida. Bush will appeal. I would bet even money that the appeal will work it's way up the food chain to the Supreme's.

The Florida State's Attorney is being set up as the fall guy (gal). No matter what happens, she's toast.

Watch David Boise (sp?), he's got more smarts than the rest of the Gore team put together. After less than 24 hours on the job, he appears to be in charge.
