Both parties are too accustomed to a Charlie Brown/Lucy scenario. Dem's always ready to go to the gutter, Republicans always say, "curses, foiled again." Gore/Daley are emboldened by history. Finally, it's time for Republicans to say, "That's it, enough. This is where we draw the line. Too much at stake for the future of our country."
