Wrong, this election was decided by the people of Florida. They determined that Bush had nearly 2000 votes more then Gore, before the hand-count charade began. Hand counting in only Democratically controlled districts has skewed the results to within 300 votes. If the state voted nearly 50% for each candidate, hand recounting should have given nearly the same results. The job of the Secretary of the State is to ensure a fair election takes place, and the laws of the state are upheld. If she tells Palm Beach to take a flying leap, then she will have come closer to that. With the exception of overseas absentee votes, the people of Florida have spoken. Gore is an unethical scoundrel who is trying to overturn the legitimate vote of Florida citizens. Elians revenge! I read the Cuban vote went nearly 90% for Bush.
