They should..and Jesse Jackson better should stop this Vietnam type demonstrations.. << no chips left hanging over>> he should rather ask his voters to have read the instructions well.. in situations like this demonstrations against your own people and country make no sense, if Plam Beach residents are victims so is the whole country, their errors have cost the country huge in terms of time lost, effort lost and momentum lost. .So, should the other 200 million plus should also demonstrate for the opportunity lost and credibility injured.... people are calling US democracy names for the sake of ir-responsibility of few who 'after the events remembered' that they must have voted for a wrong candidate.. instead of tenedering national apology making noise about it is exactly pot calling the kettle black..

Merlo, I and I think most people agree that the double punched ballots should be thrown out and in no way should there be a re-vote. However in aN ELECTION as close as this I see no reason that there should not be a hand re-count. The only fair way should be a total state wide hand count with all counties using the same rules as how the chad is hanging whether it is a vote or not. In my opinion its not the voters fault when he punches his vote the perf. box on the ballot does not totally fall out. Many votes for both candidates have been lost. WE should try to get this as right as can be. These court cases are absurd on both sides..no one being reasonable at all. I am a Democrat, but I honestly dont feel that either person is the kind of Pres. I want, and I feel in the last week that both of them have proven me right. jmho
