>> There are factors other than race that bear on crime ... imho a major one is the presence of dense populations, man was not designed to live in cities <<

I don't think your postulation successfully defends crime statistics in modern day cities. Crime in inner cities began to explode when the phenomenon dubbed "white flight" by the media began and subsequently accelerated. As a child, I personally witnessed, with astonishment, my grandparent's neighborhood transform from a beautiful, well attended park-like setting with painted houses, well-manicured lawns, flowers beds, trimmed hedges, and intact shingles and shutters, to one of severe neglect featuring the opposite of the pleasurable scene I described. This atrocity happened as white families moved out, causing property values to crash. Needless to say, this new environment was one filled with a growing number of undesirables who committed many crimes and carelessly trashed their immediate surroundings. I witnessed these events firsthand before my grandparents finally gave up and moved to a beautiful countryside farm where we were safe again.

>> The majority of crooked dollars would flow through white-collar crime, i would conjecture ... let's see the racial breakdown on that. <<

On this, I strongly agree with you. White collar crime is primarily a "white event." Also, white people are the arsonists of the U.S! :-) Arson is the only "violent" crime category that white people statistically lead in, but white people aren't close in any other category.
