The dirty trick Chiles used to defeat Jeb Bush the first time came straight out of the democratic dirty trick playbook. The day before the election they got the phone bank going and called the seniors and told them they (the caller) represented a seniors organization (like AARP) and they were calling to inform you (the senior) that they had discovered Jeb Bush intended to do away with their Social Security. Jeb Bush lost because of this unconscionable and dirty trick. He was gracious and was a statesman. Many people were incensed but Bush showed character and restraint. Then, four years later he came back and beat Buddy McKay, the Lieutenant Governor. Similar to the calls made to Palm Beach county to incite the people to complain their votes had been wrongly counted.
