Circus? More like a 14th century siege. Yup, this sounds fair:

WEST PALM BEACH -- Union members and volunteers have transformed two warehouse-sized union halls into massive offices for recount and revote efforts in the past week.
.
.
.
Most of the out-of-town lawyers have come at their own expense, Democrats and union leaders say.

"I'm telling you, there's an army here," Friedkin said. "I mean, the numbers are beyond anything you can imagine."
.
.
.
The Democratic Party has also expanded its Delray Beach office to fit more lawyers and volunteers. The party has a second office in West Palm Beach.
.
.
.
Union members are careful to draw a distinction between their efforts and the Democratic Party's. But there are clear links. Democratic officials have kept tabs on the union efforts. Lawyers arguing on behalf of the Gore-Lieberman campaign, including Miami Democratic lawyer Ben Kuehne, were huddling inside and outside the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union hall on Florida Mango Road in West Palm Beach Tuesday.

Kuehne said he was primarily working from the law offices of Searcy, Denny, Scarola, Barnhart & Shipley.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers on Belvedere Road also was busy Tuesday, with workers carrying snacks to the union hall, national union officials typing into laptops and volunteers driving through a very crowded parking lot. The unions have kept reporters out of the union halls.
