Sounds like the Democrats are quicker at figuring things out. Just the kind of folks I want running the country. <g>

I don't consider ducking my point to be a very compelling form of argument.

The Gore people proposed hand counting every vote in Florida including the overseas ballots, and not trying to do anything about the Buchanan ballots. Baker called that idea "crazy."

Baker knows that the less accurate machines are mostly in democratic counties which means that democratic and minority votes are systematically under-counted in Florida. That's why the Bush team is desperately trying to stop Florida hand counts in a Federal court even though Bush himself signed a law in Texas which states hand counts are to be preferred to machine counts because they are more accurate.

In most elections the margin of victory is large enough that the margin of error doesn't really matter. Not so this time.

Personally, i think that since the margin of victory is well within the margin of error, the results in Florida are meaningless and should be disregarded... But what do i know?
