Cobalt is used

in making batteries,

in electroplating to give a hard surface which is resistant to oxidation,

to give a blue colour in pottery enamels and glass,

is used in Alnico alloy, a material with high magnetic strength,

in Stellite alloy for high speed cutting tools, and

in animal medicine to correct for deficiency in soils.

Cobalt-60, a radioactive isotope is used as a gamma ray source (for use say, in the treatment of cancer, etc.)

More info:-

Thermally resistant alloys, called superalloys, containing cobalt are used in industry and aircraft gas turbine engines.

An alloy with steel known as cobalt steel is used for making permanent magnets.

With tungsten carbide, cobalt forms Carboloy, a hard material used for cutting and machining steel; alloyed with chromium, cobalt produces Stellite, used for the same purpose.

Cobalt is also used in ceramics and paint driers, and as a catalyst.

(The above information was culled from various search engines, e.g., lycos, altavista etc.)

Sweetness, there is no formulae you can apply to the issue you are addressing. Why don't you tell us about the variables and the risk associated with each.

I may seem mean to you because you don't know what you're talking about. I think you should not counsel people on things that you know squat about, okay.
